About Pawfile
Pawfile was created out of a very simple, but recurring problem.
Once a year, we travel for an extended period to my wife’s home country. The flight is long, and for our dog Dori, the journey would be far too exhausting. So she stays at home — well cared for by family we fully trust.
And yet, every time just before departure, the same feeling comes up: Did we really think of everything?
The handover usually happened through WhatsApp messages, notes, and photos. Things were marked, explained, and sent again later. And still, we realized afterward that the truly important information was missing — where the pet passport is, where the medication is kept, what to do in case of an emergency.
Not because anyone didn’t care. But because there was no clear system.
Pawfile was born exactly in that moment: when I gathered all these scattered pieces of information and realized that what was really needed was a calm, central place — for everything that truly matters.
Today, Pawfile helps me intentionally capture the important things: feeding, daily routines, notes, contacts. Clearly structured and always accessible. And when someone takes care of Dori, I can share exactly what’s needed — no more and no less.
Pawfile isn’t meant to be another tool you have to maintain. It’s meant to help you hand over responsibility without that uneasy feeling.
For peace of mind. And to make sure our dogs feel safe and well cared for — even when we’re not there.
